Thinking About Sept. 11, 2001

Six years ago today, the American people were completely betrayed by their own government.

Is anyone really so naive as to still believe that the acts of this day were a complete surprise to those in power?

Does anyone still believe that a huge jetliner flew into the Pentagon and disappeared doing so little damage.

Or that that plane in Pennsylvania was not shot down by US Air Force jets?

I have never been convinced that there were any Muslim terrorists on 9/11. There might have been; I just don't know. I do know that Dubya's ratings were very low on Sept. 10, 2001, and very high thereafter. (They have since come down, of course, because of his war of vengeance (They tried to kill Daddy!), but that's a subject for another post.) I have, from the first suspected an unholy alliance of the Bush/Cheney

-Saudi Royal Family-Osama Himself Axis.

I have no doubts that Mr. Bin Laden's followers are sincere, albeit insane believers in what they're doing, but the Big Guy himself I doubt.

I am sure there are still some patriotic Americans who believe what their government tells them to believe, who follow the terror level as a part of their American religion and who buy into the Fear-Of-The-Day Club.

I remember when I could write what I believed without wondering if it put me on a no-fly list, when I wasn't told it might be a good idea to keep my eye on my neighbours, you know, the ones who might, maybe be Muslims, or who might be hiding who-knows-what in their turbans or who spoke with a funny accent.

While Dubya read a book on goats

And Cheney's place was undisclosed

The world was waiting to see what goes

The day the freedom died

So bye, bye to American life

Welcome to the world of paranoia and strife

Where suspicion and prejudice and hatred are rife

Oh, yeah,

This is how America died.

Yeah, this is how America died.

Guess what? The terrorists - whoever they were - won!

  2. Raj,
I'm glad you enjoyed the post, but in the future, please clean up your language. That is, if you can express yourself without profanity!

  3. According to your blog, it is going to make people wake up, not to believe what they're told, only to believe what they see with their own eyes, for there will be a time, there'll be no secret. And there will be no fear. And it is only when we will wake up one day and know that God is almighty, not human beings. Believe me material things we're gonna leave on this planet and whoever thinks he's rich to use other people like toilet paper, Almighty God will make it to be a stand still.

No matter what happened, it will be like an open book which will be read all over the world.

  4. Mai, have I told you lately that I love you? Well let me shout it out...I F-ing LOVE YOU MAI!!! There, now you know how I really feel. Nine eleven was Treason committed by people who forgot about God lifetimes ago. A good Sikh is a good American, just ask GGS. He predicted Khalsas arrival and you know what? None too soon baby. We got Nazi's in the White House and Mohgal's in SA. And other's that are unknown and un-accusable in the same part of the world. The more Sikhs we get here in the west, the more freedom fighters we'll have when the time comes. Rally the Khalsa! Raise the Nishan and blow the conches! The Guru is on the march baby! Another adoring reader. PP

  6. PP,

I have not received such a passionate declaration of love since Mani died in 1984!

Frankly, I was expecting hate mail from this post, at the very least, Canadian, go home! But I had to say what I had to say. American self-righteous patriotism nauseates me. Shall we talk about the debate in Congress about if and when torture can be used?

Did you know an Australian slang term for Americans is septic tanks, a comment on what they're full of.

I suppose the picture of Dubya and Blair should have been Cheney and Dubya, but I love that picture.

Just one question? Should the SA above be SC? SA can mean several things, but none of them seem to fit.

You left out a couple of lines:

    Raj Karega Khalsa!

    KHALISTAN ZINDABAD!!

And I don't expect to fly in the US any time soon...

  7. And that post with Lilly's name was not from Lilly; I could never delete a post from her. It was really the following post from me. We had been working in her blog and I had forgotten to switch the account back.

  11. What happened in 1984? Your brain was racked by syphilis?

  12. Hi, St. Chris,

I suppose I could try to be clever or humourous or indignant or sarcastic or angry, but I'll just answer your questions.

The first: My husband, my son, two brothers and two cousins were murdered by a mob in the antiSikh riots in Delhi. I was pregnant and because of a beating went into premature labour and the twin girls I was carrying died.

The second: No. No syphilis has ever been discovered, but I did get post traumatic stress disorder. Thanks for your concern.

  13. Unfortunately the US govt had misled and lied to its citizens for many decades now, so why should anyone expect them to stop?

When 9/11 happened I too thought Bush and pals were possibly behind it, or maybe knew and didn't stop it. I figured they didn't expect the buildings to collapse. Keep meaning to read a book by Craig Ungers (?) on it - re link with the arabs.

As with many things, we can't know the whole truth and it's very frustrating.

  14. Hi, again, Eleanor,

Perhaps my husband's right. He believes all earthly governments are satanic by nature. I'm not quite there yet.

I don't know how long the US government has been lying. Since Johnson/Nixon, at least.

Now, I shall puff out my chest and be Canadian.

    Harper? Harper Who?
